Home » Sculptra

Sculptra® is an injectable treatment option that uses poly-L-lactic acid, or PLLA, to stimulate collagen production to restore lost volume to facial areas. It acts like fertilizer for your own collagen when injected into the dermis and slowly absorbs to give you a fuller, smoother appearance.

Sculptra® can encourage collagen production to reduce the appearance of concerns like:

  • Chin Wrinkles
  • Marionette Lines
  • Nasolabial Folds
  • Smile Lines
  • Hollowed Areas

Today, I’m going to talk to you about Sculptra injections.

Sculptra is a naturally occurring, very safe injection for increasing collagen. It’s a bio stimulator, a fertilizer for your own collagen growth. We’re using it increasingly on the body. We’ve been using it on the face for many years, but now we’re doing a lot of really fun body treatments to increase the thickness of the skin in crepey areas, such as above the knees, on the elbows, on the décolleté. We also use it for body irregularities, such as the hip dip that adds some volume in the glutes. It’s great to combine this injection treatment with an RF microneedling or the cul. Think of Sculptra as a long-term solution for collagen stimulation.

So this fertilizer for your collagen will increase the tone, the texture of your skin. Increase areas where you may have irregularities like the hip dip. For cellulite, it can last up to five years. Once you’ve grown your own collagen, it does take two to four treatments, about eight to 12 weeks apart, and you see the best results five to nine months after your treatment. If you’re interested in collagen injections for body contouring, give us a call.
